Explore our private room overlooking the Grote Markt, shared dining, walking dinners, bites, welcome drinks and drinks packages. There is a DJ at Vester on Fridays and Saturdays. We will discuss your menu, ideas and the details together.
Our private room is available exclusively for dinners and drinks receptions. Amplified music is not permitted in this space, so DJ parties cannot take place in the private room.

Shared dining: share around the table
Dishes in the middle, passing plates and discovering flavours together. Shared dining suits birthdays, family meals and team evenings where sitting together is part of the occasion. Explore the group menu and tell us about dietary requirements in advance; we are happy to discuss adjustments.
Walking dinner: eat and mingle
Small dishes with room to move between conversations. A good fit for a company gathering or drinks reception that also includes dinner. Discuss the duration, guest count and seating needs with us beforehand.
A multi-course dinner: settle in
A meal served in several courses gives your evening a clear rhythm. A lovely choice when dining together is the main event. Tell us your wishes for the menu and the flow of the evening.
Drinks and bites: raise a glass
From a quick toast after your wedding ceremony to an end-of-year gathering. Decide whether you would like drinks and bites or a reception followed by dinner, so your guests know what to expect.
Planning a celebration in Haarlem: where to start
- Choose a date and an alternative. Include your preferred start and finish times.
- Estimate the guest count. Consider who will join for dinner and who will only come for drinks.
- Choose the atmosphere. A seated dinner, mingling or a short toast? This helps us suggest a suitable space.
- Share your wishes. A budget, dietary requirements and seating needs help us prepare a suitable proposal.
Our private room on the Grote Markt accommodates up to 60 guests for a seated dinner or 80 for drinks. It is available exclusively for dinners and drinks receptions; amplified music is not possible. Smaller groups are welcome too.
Getting married at Haarlem’s town hall on the Grote Markt? Tell us the ceremony time and when you would like to arrive at Vester. For a Christmas or end-of-year gathering, consider dates before or after the holidays: we are open on Christmas Eve and open for lunch on 25 and 26 December.
