THE START

Restaurant Vester was born out of a shared dream of Silvester and Sanne. Both have a huge passion for travel, hospitality and creating special moments. During their travels around the Mediterranean, they discovered a wealth of flavours, aromas and dishes that bring people together. They wanted to bring that holiday vibe and Mediterranean inspiration back to Haarlem, and so Vester was born.

What makes Vester special is not only the concept, but also the team behind it. From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed by enthusiastic staff who will do everything they can to make your evening special. For us, hospitality equals warmth, conviviality and personal attention.

OUR CHEF

For the past year and a half, chef Bas has been the beating heart of the kitchen at Vester. With his enormous passion for cooking and eye for quality, he consistently creates dishes that surprise and connect. For Bas, it’s all about pure ingredients with a story. Products made with love and craftsmanship, such as the Spanish delicacies from Casalba that he personally brought to Vester.

What makes Bas special is his openness and enthusiasm. He regularly joins guests at their tables to talk passionately about a dish or a special product he is working with. You can taste that personal approach on your plate: honest, flavourful and prepared with soul.
